The Little Torch can be used with several fuels including acetylene, hydrogen, propane, proplyene, MAPP, or natural gas. It produces a perfectly controlled, completely stable flame hot enough to melt commercially eldable metals, glass and even ceramics. The Smith Little Torch, may alse be used with special heating tips to melt up to 3 oz. of gold or silver. The Little Torch is excellent for soldering platinum. It's the complete works in a hnady self-contained lightweight unit. The Smith Little Torch portable kits come complete with everything you need for your soldering or brazing operations. Kits include tanks, regulators, safety check valves, five tips, torch and hoses all in a handy carrying case. Oxygen and acetylene cylinders can be refilled at most welding supply stores (disposable LP tanks are not included). Smith Little Torch kits weigh less than 32 LBS.
The most popular Smith Little Torch kit is the # 23-1001D. This Little Torch kit includes 5 tips, torch and hose. Regulators are not included but we have those for sale in our regulator section. The 14014 magnetic Smith Little Torch stand is a very nice accessory that is an almost must for all Smith Little Torch kits.
The Smith Little Torch complete kit # 23-1015P is a propane caddy kit. It comes with a 5 LB propane tank that is refillable. It is a very popular kit and comes with a heavy duty steel carrier. You will not be dissappointed with this Smith Little Torch 23-1015P complete kit.
All of the Smith Little Torch kits have multiple tips available. The standard tip that comes with all Smith Little Torch kits are curved. You can also uipgrade to a twin flame that will attach to the Smith Little Torch.
